Royal Serpents are annoying...
...especially when 5+ of them jump to my face simultaneously. Even with the Upgraded Master Sword, still struggling to kill all of them without losing more than half of HP bar. Is there any better way to deal with them?

When I see a bunch of them hovering, I tend to move one pace at a time, so I can more easily control when they come at me - you can set them off one at a time that way. I got the multiple attacks when I was just running through, and it is a pain so make sure you have plenty of elixirs.

drop a staircase and go to the next floor?

Master Sword? You mean Galaxy/Infinity Blade?

If yes, then spamming the sword should be enough, as that's pretty much like a shield. And an Infinity Blade should kill them in 1-2 hits usually.

Alternatively you can use the Protection Ring, if you can't prevent enemies from hitting you for whatever reason. Obviously doesn't fully protect you, but might still be able to prevent a few hits, if they attack you in quick succession.

generally I just drop staircases though and escape rough situations and eat food to heal.

Some food repels monsters, also using a hammer could be better as it has a pretty good AOE attack. If all else fails, use a staircase to go down a level and escape them. (I can relate to this struggle a lot, serpents are super annoying when they all just rush you out of nowhere.) Hope this helps!

Edit: I saw another post mention a Protection Ring, I think that that's an amazing idea and I would just like to add that a Ring of Yoba might help aswell.
