Any Benefits To Doing the Map with Monsters?
See title. Are the drops worth it or not really? I haven't played in a while and I want to start a new farm soon with the upcoming update.

In short: No.

Long: No. Nope. You could turn on the monsters at night on the standard map under advanced farm map options when starting a new game if you really want it, but in my opinion monsters at night aren't worth. They are too low level and not enough of them spawn. Are more of a bother compared to their their puny resource drop. Later you get a couple of high level enemies, but they are even more sparse then the low level grunts.

Last thing you need when getting your butt into bed late late late at night is that stuff on the farm.

That's good advice. Thank you. The first farm I ever did was the fishing one but I think I did my layout poorly. Back when I played, you couldn't move the greenhouse, etc.

I might start a new fishing farm or try the forest farm. I had a multiplayer forest farm with a friend and it seemed spacious with some nice freebies.

I should note that I speak from experience when talking about the monster farm AND having another farm with monsters at night enabled. It's not a good map and the option is more of a bother. A purple slime once jumped out of my corn field when I was low at health and needed to make it in time before 2AM. That was annoying.

Yeah that would be more frustrating than anything.

I guess it's good for those that like a bit of an extra challenge to their farm so you either have to go to bed early or risk getting attacked by monsters on the way home if they're right at your doorstep. But yeah, I imagine not everybody would want that kind of stress in a game like this.

Also, you can enable this feature during a game by offering a Strange Bun to the Shrine of Night Terrors, thus deactivating the protection seal on your farm allowing monsters to appear at night. Similarly, you can also get rid of monsters on the farm in-game by doing the same process.
