Long: No. Nope. You could turn on the monsters at night on the standard map under advanced farm map options when starting a new game if you really want it, but in my opinion monsters at night aren't worth. They are too low level and not enough of them spawn. Are more of a bother compared to their their puny resource drop. Later you get a couple of high level enemies, but they are even more sparse then the low level grunts.
Last thing you need when getting your butt into bed late late late at night is that stuff on the farm.
I might start a new fishing farm or try the forest farm. I had a multiplayer forest farm with a friend and it seemed spacious with some nice freebies.
Also, you can enable this feature during a game by offering a Strange Bun to the Shrine of Night Terrors, thus deactivating the protection seal on your farm allowing monsters to appear at night. Similarly, you can also get rid of monsters on the farm in-game by doing the same process.
