Golden Clock Taking Foreverrrrr
I'm going for perfection and have everything I need except the golden clock which costs 10 mill. I'm currently at 3.8 mil and so bored of grinding.

My current strategy is focusing on ancient fruit - my greenhouse and island are all ancient fruit and I'm turning them into wine and aging some. I also have a shed full of crystallariums but it's still taking forever. I want perfection so bad without any cheats or modding but it's taking the fun out of the game :(

Should I just be waking up and sleeping most days until my ancient fruit it ready?? All tips welcome!

You've already picked two of the best things to do that both give you good money and can continually be regrown while you do other things/sleep.

There are slightly better ways to get money depending on your season, but that would require even more work/attention and you said you're bored of 'grinding'.

make more keg sheds.

island is like what 750 slots? so that should be 1.7m a week so should take like a season tops.

it's the cooking recipies that's holding me up.

you can take over areas like the spa, and install tappers or just trees for wood.

I covered the upper part with oak trees, and lower part with pine trees for wood. I used the oak resin to fill sheds with kegs.

if you grow starfruit and turn it into wine you can get to 10 million, pretty quickly its 4000 starfruit wine, for 10 million profit, which is 2 harvests of 2000 during summer.

so to manage this, we need, 250 quality sprinklers, 4000 starfruit seeds, and lets go with 500 kegs. and well some scarecrows.

could also manage with some speed grow to do 3 harvests and only 170 quality sprinklers.

Dunno what you have for a field infrastructure, obviously whatever you have isn't scaled up enough.

if you are using a profit margin to make this take longer, then it takes longer. but 500 kegs, and you should get there in a few weeks.

Iridium grade truffles and truffle oil got me there pretty damn quick.

I'm on my 9th year...
I have 7 barns all filled with 12 pigs in each barn, i've been keeping the pigs happy and getting around 125 Truffles each day each truffle is just over $1,024 that adds up to about $250,000 on a good day so about $1,000,000 every 4 days. It's a lot of work to get your farm to that stage but after that you only need to walk around a pick the truffles and put them in the box to sale each day, and if you do that when the pigs are in the yard you can say hi to each one to keep them happy.

Also keep in mind it will cost a lot of money and time at first but when you everthing in place it is easy to sit back and always have a content money flow coming in with the lease about of work. meaning you can focus on other aspects of the game.

or just change the money value in the save game file. (but there no fun in cheating)

I literally got Perfection today (like 10 min ago). Got the Golden Clock two days ago. Took me five years for clock, 6 for perfection because I stupidly didn't buy and craft the flower pot recipe at the flower fair and the jack-o-lantern recipe at the halloween event, which I discovered the day after the flower fair so I had to wait an ENTIRE calendar year to get those, I almost cried!

Anyway, wine wine wine. Forget putting them in casks, iridium takes too long, just fill every space available with kegs and sell them as soon as they pop. Once I got serious with that it only took about 1 year to get the money with only one large shed full of kegs (i was held back on keg production because I didn't prioritize tapping oaks early on). And anything not put in a keg was sold.

I did zip money wise with crystalariums, I used those for jade to trade for stairs to get all those darn pepper rexs'. (Hint if anyone is having trouble with that, on a day when you find a prehistoric floor, pop back out of the skull cavern and start staircasing your way back down one floor at a time - I got 20 pepper rex in one go that way as I hit multiple prehistoric floors on the way down.)

I will NEVER go for perfection again - what a pain!

Thanks for the advice everyone! I think I just need to hunker down and grind a bit more. I think with another shed of kegs, I can make it in decent time :)

Unfortunately, I prioritized all the other perfection tasks ahead of grinding money so now I've pretty much achieved all the in game markers besides the $$$$ lol

What is this flower pot and jack-o-lantern thing you guys are talking about?

They're crafting recipes that you have to buy at festivals in order to craft everything and get the achievement/work towards perfection

That's a different pot. This pot has actual flowers in it and is crafted with flower seeds. You have to buy the recipe from the flower dance festival in spring.

I got my clock by placing more than 100 bee houses and planting Fairy Rose. It takes lots of coal, wood, maple syrup, but when done it gives you about 750,00 g every 4 days to make honey. I got 100% completion in summer of year 4.
