Will my strawberries regrow next Spring?
Just finished my first spring and the three strawberries I had planted outside have withered away. If I don't chop away what they have become, will they eventually be strawberries again (like in real life) or are they... GONE FOREVER???!?!!!

No, they will not grow back. You'll need to purchase new Strawberry seeds.

Note that if you have a Greenhouse, and a Seed Maker (and a few left over Strawberries to work with), you can produce some Strawberry seeds and plant them on Spring 1st, rather than waiting for the Egg Festival. Strawberries are a lucrative crop even if you only get two harvest out of them, but they're much more lucrative if you can manage five. But having the Greenhouse unlocked is essential.

Here's an example of a Greenhouse in use: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2651093921

Many people prefer a mono-culture in the Greenhouse, I like variety. The upper right section is 16 Strawberry plants. I sell off the Gold and Silver Strawberries, and seed some/most of the rest so as to have a stock of seeds to use on Spring 1st.

...if you wanted strawberry plants, just make garden pots and the 100% retaining soil. you don't need to waste slots in your greenhouse, just build a big shed. lol.

greenhouse is kinda ♥♥♥♥ because the fertilizer doesn't stick thru the month change unless they fixed that.

monetary wise, I would rather take ginger island, cover it with speed grow and grow 3 patches of starfruit a month.

I used to ramp up the greenhouse with ancient fruit. and like a bunch of peach trees for friendship.

500 plots of starfruit would be 4.1 million a month, and ramp up in 9 days. require 3 harvests and

500 plots of ancient fruit would be 4.6 million a month and ramp up in 28 days, require 4 harvests a month, and since you'll be using your first seeds to make more seeds, probably ramps up in dunno 2-3 months.

lemme do the math. 10 starting seeds.-> 28 days. -> 30 plants. +7 -> 50 plants.+7 >70 plants +7 > 90 plants. +7 > 110 plants +7 > 170 plants +7 > 270 plants +7 > 410 plants +7 > 500+ 28 days for them all to mature. thats a full year. and a couple months longer if you don't have 10 starting seeds.

Why not buy gobs of strawberry seeds at the festival, and save some for the following year? (I just started year 2 so I'm not up on all the advanced strats!)

You can certainly do that, but that's money that's just sitting there doing nothing for a year, at a time when money might tight, or, maybe you've already got more money than you know what to do with and it'll be fine. Personally, I like to generate my own seeds and not shovel quite so much money over to Pierre.

Garden pots are annoying. Sprinklers work in the Greenhouse. I know it's not as efficient, but it is actually the kind of thing Greenhouses are traditionally used for: Getting a jump on the growing season.

Which is an end-game option. People don't start out there. We're talking about things people can do in year1 and year2.

they grow in 19 days, not 28. there is no reason not to use agriculturalist+delux speedgro since you are doing that anyways for your starfruits/pumpkins.

you can easily fill up ginger island halfway year 2, and then start making wine + have enough seeds to do 1500-2000 plots on main farm in year 3 if you can be bothered.
