It's a game about a small town. She has a schedule, if you want to figure out where she is at any given time, either learn it, by playing, or look it up in the wiki, as has been suggested:

The Villagers have lives, they do stuff, go places, even if you're not there on the screen to see it. Maru is the daughter of Demetrius (the biologist) and Robin (the carpenter), she lives with them in the house Robin built up in the mountains. Also living with them is Sebastian, who is Robin's son from a previous relationship.

Maru in particular isn't that fond of the Saloon and doesn't go there. She does hang out in town however, and can frequently be seen chatting with her friend Penny.

i can't seem to put my cursor (im using controller) over that house at all. it just skips it from building on the left to the building on the right.

elliot requested ruby and i ran to his house and he wasnt there, and i went to the bar, wasnt there, i looked up his schedule on the wiki like you said, and it said he was going from library to his house and i missed it and that was the final day.
i dont want to look up wiki every quests i do, but the game is kind of designed this way right? i just feel like a cheater with every quets i succeed after looking it up

It's not cheating, it's a helpful tool! But... I get what you mean. I tend to not want to look at wikis myself unless I really have to. The NPC location system could have been better. There are mods to make it a bit easier keeping track of them, if you ever feel like modding.

cheating is better than raging on a steam forum. I'm sorry your cursor can't highlight the house with a controller. have you considered playing on a computer with keyboard and mouse?

You can use both your mouse and controller while in game. When you bring up the map, simply use the mouse. I know when you are comfy with your controller that's not something you want to do but you don't have to un or replug anything :>
