Ginger Island Volcano - Use Staircases?

My co-op buddy is having problems getting to level 5 in the mines. I've already made it to the forge at the top, so is it possible to use stone staircases (crafting item) to make it to the fifth floor easily? I haven't tried yet, so I don't know.

As you might've seen, you don't search for stairs, but rather doors in the volcano, so you can't just use staircases.

Also when playing coop, you can both go in their together and help each other. Also reaching the forge there is a way to the left, which leads to the beginning of the volcano. Once pressed, everyone can go directly to the forge, even without doing the full vulcano themselves.

Also once the farm house on ginger island is restored, you can also sleep there, which could give your friend a littlebit more time to get through the volcano.

I don't think you understand. My buddy and I want an easier way to get to the level 5 store (the dwarf selling items there). I've already made it to the top, and we both can access the forge easily now, but we were hoping for a faster, safer way to get to the shop.

I don't think there are a shortcut to go to level 5. Also IIRC u can't use staircase outside or inside the volcano.
