Demolish cabins to get the Queen of Sauce rerun you need

I found out this is actually true. I saw it on reddit and I tried it. I had missed 'blackberry cobbler,' and that was the only one left that I needed to cook every recipe. I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and yet, I kept getting random reruns from early stuff, like 'bread' and 'stir fry' and stuff. I read somewhere that the reruns will prioritize whatever recipe you've missed, but that wasn't working for me. Then I read that, if you have cabins on your farm, the game thinks that you have other players who don't have any recipes at all, so it will play the reruns of any random recipes, because it's trying to give reruns to all of your multiplayers too, even if they don't exist. If you demolish the cabins, then the game will focus only on YOU and your missing recipes. I tried this, and it worked immediately - I got 'blackberry cobbler' the very next Wednesday on rerun day.

I had a couple other incidents where some quest seemed to be not working until I did a particular thing. In the desert, there was a message that appeared about the dragon bones, where it's looking at the sun and longs for a taste, and I tried to give it the right thing, but it didn't work. So I tried all sorts of other alternative things to give it, and it still wasn't working. It was because it doesn't get activated unless you have actually gotten a message from Mr. Qi telling you to go do that. If you just walk over to it, without getting the message from Mr. Qi first, you can't feed the thing to the dragon no matter how hard you try.

The last thing i learned recently was, sometimes you can't find a particular artifact, whenever you are trying as hard as you can to get every single item for the museum. Even if you keep buying millions of the artifact troves and breaking them open, the one thing you need will never be there. For me, it often seems to be the little broken shard of pottery. I FINALLY figured out that this was because I had not completed all of my 'winter mystery' quests with the magnifying glass and the secret notes. There is one artifact that you have to find by doing that, and I didn't have that thing. Whenever I went and found it, all of a sudden, the NEXT artifact immediately appeared in my artifact troves, finally, after trying a million times and failing.

So that was just a common theme of 'you can't do some particular thing, because some other thing is standing in the way and stopping it from happening, but if you fix that thing, it will work immediately.'

There is chance that you got the recipe purely by coincidence as well.

Well, technically that's true; however, I agree with the rationale for why it works. It's worth trying, for anybody who is impatiently waiting and doesn't want to wait months and months to get the very last recipe, but has no idea what else to try. The only problem is for people who have upgraded their cabins, but I guess you can only do that if you have a multiplayer come in and do it. I don't have another computer that I can go online with and make another player, so if I wanted to do that, I'd have to ask someone to do it as a favor. But if you haven't upgraded the cabins, there is no problem at all with quickly demolishing them. They're so cheap, it's no big deal, and it's very easy to test this method and see if it works.

And besides, I did read, while researching this, that there was an official patch that made it, deliberately, so that the reruns would give you whatever you didn't have, and I needed an explanation for why that patch wasn't working. This explains why it wasn't working. You shouldn't have to ever wait for your reruns, according to that patch. It should be programmed to give you anything you don't have, right away, in the reruns, not random stuff for weeks and weeks and weeks.

Thank you for this! I also was waiting on the blackberry cobbler (on my mission to get perfection as quickly as possible) and I was wondering why it wasn't showing in the reruns. You saved me from waiting another 3 seasons to get to perfection! Demolished cabin and next day, Blackberry Cobbler :)

something sounds of here, becasue the reruns do mostly recipes you missed, at the latest point as soon you are out of the stage where not all recipes aired.

I'm not going to worry about it, I just check the TV on the sunday if I miss it, I check 2 years later.

This is great info! Thank you! I'm doing a gourmet challenge too, and this would drive me insane if it happened to me that I missed a recipe. I'll go demolish my unneeded cabins right now!

BTW, do you know any trick to get bombs or sprinklers to show up at the travelling cart?

Go shop from Dwarf.
Go shop in the sewer on friday.
Mines floors X1 (21, 41, 61,etc) to target the ore you need, then back up the ladder to reset the mine and do it again. Also great for weeds.
Buy the ore from Clint.

Traveling Cart is randomly selected from predefined groups.

Lol I do know how to make or buy bombs from regular sources. I specifically need to know if the travelling cart can be influenced to increase the chances of getting bombs or sprinklers, for the sake of a challenge run.
