Thanks, but this one doesn't seem to work anymore.
The Links in the desc are no longer valid, so I have to type it in Manually.
When I try to run it, it gives me an Error for the entirety of line 4.
Alternatively windows has a built in macro feature that I have never used[support.microsoft.com]
alternatively you could also use a 3rd party app like AutoHotkey to create a macro
Lastly, USING A SCRIPT FOR SPEED RUNS IS STILL CHEATING.
Animation canceling is not allowed in vanilla speedruns and the glitch category does not allow macros for it. People are using scripts to rebind the keys used for the glitch, not to cheat and do the glitch for them.
https://youtu.be/W7MGVHbsBbc?t=128 Current world record for community center restoration.
There's separate categories for animation canceling and no animation canceling, and if you look at the speedruns, you see that it tells you whether or not it was used in that run.
Also, you're literally agreeing with me but calling me a liar, what are you on about.
The Google Drive download didn't show up for me before, but it does now.
Thank you! This works perfectly!
Secondly, you linked a video using a glitch and a macro doing a run in a glitchless category? rightt....
Read the speedrun rules a little more carefully, macros for timing are not actually allowed even in the glitch category. Using a macro to do three things at once is using a macro for timing, no if ands or buts...
not a valid speed run. its only for theory crafting.
Pressing those 3 buttons to animation cancel is hard coded into the game, thus it was decided that animation canceling wasn't cheating/glitching. Then to even the playing field, cuz pressing 3 different buttons across the keyboard is insane, they decided that they'd allow a script to press the 3 buttons at the same time. You still have to time when you press the button to actually animation cancel, you just don't have to turn into a spider to do it.
