controls on mac

hi!! I'm new to playing this game (& honestly like any games) & i am so lost with the controls of the game (i play on a mac). so i know you can move with asdw & the menu opens with e but i have no clue how to talk to the people in game. when i approach them i can see a little text box pop up but just clicking on them with my mouse does nothing :(

this is probably such a dumb question i just need a simple explanation to how to interact with the villagers in game :) tyyyyy

It's right click to interact. X and C also act as a left click/right click if that's easier.
