Kill 50 bats?

I got a quest to kill 50 bats but in the two. Days I've gone in I've found less than 15 idk what's going on but they're just not spawning and if they do it's just like 1. I keep finding the skeleton things that rise up in the dark areas instead any advice on how to grind some out quick for this quest? Oh I should mention my elevator goes down to floor 60 so far so preferably it won't be to go to like floor 100 or something lol. But if like floor 70 is great I can probably rush that a bit

if you've unlocked ginger island, turn on the dangerous caves and you'll get more random spawns otherwise hope for the bats to swarm.

first time I did it I just kept doing floors staying on them long enough to see if a swarm would trigger.

second time I just got the dangerous mines and it was much faster.

if you are only at floor 60, then yeah you gotta just hope for swarms on their levels. never got to autumn without completing the mines.

Here's some info for you:
Bats in general spawn from floors 31 to 119.
The weakest bats spawn from 31-39.
Frost bats from 41-79, and then Hellbats from 81-119.

My advice, take the elevator to 35, and try to go all the way to 39, afterwards, take the ladder up to reset the mines.

To add, during your runs, just use your eyes to scout out the place first before breaking any rocks and ONLY go for important things like bats and gems.

If there are too many rocks in the level, your best bet is to just take the ladder up instantly instead of trying to go down one more level to save you a lot of in-game time. This is because time pauses when it's asking you to confirm your ladder/elevator use.

Repeat as many times as you want and you should be able to complete this by a couple of days.

This strat works for anything that involves the mines including the Prismatic Jelly quest. Though it gets boring, ngl, it saves your a lot of in-game time.

that bats are easy though, after you unlock dangerous mines, before that, its....probably not worth doing.
