Robin's Building Menu Isn't Working for Me!

I'm trying to buy my 5th silo, but the "catalog" at Robin's won't scroll past the chicken coop. I can't use the forward or backward arrows. And I can't use other options either -- like painting, move building, etc. I can't even X out of the catalog. I have to hit Escape on my keyboard. Has anyone ever had this problem? Does anyone have any ideas of how I could fix it?

remember there where already 1 or 2 Threads with the same headline longer ago, and guess what, it was mod problems, surprise....

Hi -- The game is already updated to the latest version. I already restartred it, but it made no difference. I verified integrity of game files, and it said all files were fine. Would a mod do this -- and how could I pin down which mod?! (I appreciate your help!)

Does anyone else have any ideas?

I also noticed that the Mermaid Boots are now red for some reason! To check if it was simply that particular game, I went back to the previous game and tried to get my farmer to buy a building -- it was the same problem, and he also had the werid red Mermaid Boots! I'm so stuck in the game I love. Please help!!!
