trash bear glitch

I can't get the trash bear to accept the Red Mullet he's requesting. Tried every star level of fish, no luck.

I found a few references to the trash bear not accepting gifts on the web and this forum, but none of them included a solution/fix/workaround.

Any suggestions?

It will ask for something different next season. It asks for something from season you're in. So just wait it out.

not just misinterpret the picture and he want another fish instead? thats the normal problem of ppl with him when they declare a bug.

most likely looking for a red snapper, not mullet. that's what the bear asked me for.

Thanks! I bet that's it. Ended up waiting out the season. Now he wants a dish I don't have the recipe for yet.
I also found out that to give the Trash Bear a gift, you apparently have to be standing in front of him facing him. From the sides didn't seem to work.

There was a mod that would add the text name of what the Trash bear wants, but it's out of version and no longer works. :-(

It is a bit annoying the images don't match exactly but I supposed it's meant to simulate the language barrier between a human and bear.
