we need a new update - please give attention -
this game is definitely one of my favourites. but I want to ask other players, wouldn't it be better if something new was added?

e.g;

  • several new events may come. this is an endless simulation game, but it continues in a constantly repeating cycle.

  • new crops may arrive.

  • new dialogues can be added to the characters or a new character can come. maybe a rival farmer? a new storyline.

  • even new animals can be interesting! a new place like ginger island may come. for example, after our fifth year, we should be able to open another place with a new letter.

  • a new mayor! after a certain year we spent in the game, there could be a new story with a new headman.

since we have memorized the game now, when we open a new save file, we play speedrun without realizing it. so i think a new update might be very good. please, those who like this game, give their opinions.:steamsalty:

I wish we can get a new update, but Concerned Ape already has his hands full with the 1.6 release on mobile and the new game

Have you tried Stardew Valley Expanded and other mods?

And developing Haunted Chocolatier

Edit: To OP. I don't think that CA reads this Steam forum anymore. He has his own dedicated SDV forum.

And to this point it's like begging for new content, just because CA was very generous in his free content update patches.

I think CA said they wouldn't really be doing any updates after the new update and they are working on the new game. :P
Players able to do magic like ARPG , also magic doing enemy as well , player able to do magic for farming like summon rain to water crops or summon tornado to plow the soil , etcs .

This isn't a live service game. We've already gotten alot of new stuff over the years. Everything has it's time.

No, we don't actually. ;)

The game is pretty complete, and as others said, custom mods add lots of additional, optional content.

just play Stardew Valley expanded, its a 12/10 mod, new maps, new characters, new cutscenes, everything builds perfectly into the normal game, I cant play this game without this mod anymore, its like 200 hours more content and the new characters and cutscene just feels so good, it adds way more depth to all old characters

In my current playthrough I'm playing with the Stardew Valley Expanded mod. It's a great addition and feels like a big update. I'm also combining this with a mod that adds a massive farm. This thing is huge.

LOL I'm hoping and praying that he *doesn't* update the game any more. I'm playing with Stardew Valley Expanded and Ridgeside Village. The game is just immense with hundreds of hours of things to do now.

I'm deathly afraid of an update breaking the mods and thus destroying my game for the foreseeable, if not indefinite future. Wish I had a way to just seal it all up in a time capsule as it is now.

IMHO, with what the base game already has, combined with SVE and RV, it's truly a masterpiece perfected.

CA is actually planning to do a 1.6 update. He is already working together with the most prolific modder Pathoschild who maintains SMAPI. This planned update aims to open up SDV more to mods. Make it more mod friendly. Among other things. (No, NOT new content)

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Migrate_to_Stardew_Valley_1.6

If you have very old mods that aren't maintained anymore and no one has any interest to make an unoffical update then backup your SDV folder now and only start it via SMAPI or buy SDV via GOG then use it's backup feature and disable updates.

Yes, turn off automatic updates, you should be fine. I understand the feeling. I mod Skyrim heavily, and while Bethesda never bothered to fix about a million common bugs and glitches, they did continue to release updates for years, adding very little to the game but breaking all of my darn mods.
