Ginger Island parrot giving incorrect tips. [maybe spoilers?]

So I'm trying to find the last few golden walnuts, right? I'm checking with Leo's parrot to find out where to go next, and he's telling me there are ones "hidden down the fire river..." Problem is, I've already gotten those ones. Those are the ones you get after using the watering can on the lava river at the entrance to the volcano. Those are done. Other than the "Simon Says" crystal puzzle that I'm having trouble with, I don't know where else to go. I've fished up all the others, dug up all the spots, gotten all the ones from the chests and monsters in the volcano, found the hidden ones on the island... what's left? I know there are eventually pirates in the pirate cove, but I don't know what the conditions are for them to spawn.

The Lava Lurks are also found other places, so try to kill more. You have to go to G-Island on an even date with no rain and after 8 as I remember and pirates are there. Good Luck. The tones get slower if you repeat the quest, I know it is so difficult and yet I managed, you can too

The parrot wasn't referring to the river you have to cross to get into the volcano but another one several levels inside. ;)

OK so I found the pirates and got the 3 walnuts from the darts minigame. I didn't mention I also got all the ones I could from farming. I'm 110/130 now. I guess I'll try to find more up another lava river further inside the volcano, as someone suggested.

I just checked the Wiki and the only walnuts that are hidden past a lava river are the ones right inside the entrance. Not sure where you got that info from, but there's no other secret lava river inside.

I just got the 3 walnuts from the STUPID crystal minigame, and now I'm 113/130. No idea where the other 17 are, they MUST be in the volcano somewhere.

Hmm, there's fishing, growing things on the farm for the frog, the mermaid, the ones you get randomly while harvesting crops, some from mining the mussel-bearing rocks by the beach, the quest from Birdie, and finishing the museum collection. Just some other ideas you haven't mentioned doing yet.

Level 5 inside the volcano there is a lava river going off to the left. If you use your watering can to follow it all the way it leads to an otherwise inaccessible area outside[/] the volcano with a few more walnuts.[/spoiler]

OK I'm apparently being trolled here. Level 5 is the dwarf trader. No lava river exists on that floor, there is no hidden path, nothing. Did you enjoy laughing at me trying to find it for an hour? I hope you did.

I'm not trolling you, I just am mis-remembering which level it is on. In the wiki there should be a link to a picture showing where all the Golden Walnuts are. At the top of that picture it shows what I am talking about.

Yes, and that area is just inside the entrance to the volcano. Btw I'm pretty sure my game is bugged because I spent an additional about 3 hours today going down that list meticulously, one by one, to see if I had found them all. I'm about 99% sure I had. Killed hundreds of monsters in the volcano, broke thousands of rocks, fished over a hundred times, farmed up well over 100 crops, got all the hidden nuts, did Birdie's quest, the Gourmand's quest, the dart board, the banana ape, the crystal puzzle, the gemstone puzzle, all of it. And I was still 17 nuts short. So you know what I did? I CJB Cheat Menu'd myself in the last 17. There, done. Now let's never speak of this again. /topic
