grandpa
im on my 3rd year and i have had multiple grandpa cutseens (which are all the same) and no matter what it only lights 3 candles. ive put the diamond on and have summoned grandpa more then five times, and it still lights 3 candles and never 4. is this a bug?

No, you just haven't done enough for the fourth.

It's not about diamonds. It's about progressing in the game, as loose of a term as that may be. Getting married, making more good friends, making more MONEH, completing community center, fishing, etcetc.

You don't have to do anywhere near all of it to get all 4 candles, but yeah.

You dont have to give him diamonds, you need to reach several archievments to ligth up 4 candles. Check the wiki for Grandpa if u want to know what you have to do.

i checked the wiki it didnt tell me anything. what do i have to do?

Basically this. At the start of year 3, you will be graded for everything you've done in the game so far. Based on this, you will light up the appropriate number of candles. If you aren't able to light up all 4 candles by the Spring 1, Year 3, then you can offer up a diamond to the shrine to be regraded. Offering him diamonds isn't going to increase your score, accomplishing game achievements will.
