If I give someone a bouquet before seeing the 8th heart event will I be unable to see the event?

But it's winter and I got Alex to 8 hearts. I know his 8 hearts event is summer only, so do I have to wait or can I give him the bouquet so I can get him to 10 hearts faster?

You dont even need to see the events. You can marry him without seeing a single one. So yes, give it to him.
