Rabbits Are Dumb
Rabbits are just dumb, only reason to get them is for the foot for the package. Dropping wool doesn't make sense, just keeps them from being worthless.

My suggestion? Keep them expensive, but they sell for only half the buy price at full hearts. The reason? Now, they breed like crazy! Earn money back by selling the babies or parents as they fill up your coops. Upon being sold, they have a % chance to give you a foot based on their hearts. As an added bonus, eggs have a chance each day of spring to become colored if there's a rabbit in the coop.

He wants them to start breeding.
We farm cows for milk
We farm chickens for eggs.
He wants us to farm rabbits for their babies.

The thing is that would be an easy way to exploit the system with just animals. We already have starfruit. Honestly if money is that much of an issue for someone, theyre playing the game wrong. Cows give milk, Chickens give eggs, Ducks give eggs and feathers, pigs find truffles, and rabbits drop wool and feet (granted the rabbits foot item is a bit weird in itself). Wool can in turn be made into cloth which is profitable. Also, Emily loves cloth so thats an easy way to get hearts up with her. Adding breeding isnt really necessasary because theres a hundred different ways to make a profit in the game. The developer has better things to do with his time so adding extra ♥♥♥♥ that is more or less considered a luxury is a waste of his time and your time as well. I think making suggenstions on how to improve the game is great and I love the community and how involved they are, but making suggestions like this are riduculous. We want to help the developer with GOOD ideas. Ideas that wont completely destroy the economy of the game COMPLETELY. We already have people abusing starfruit, profiting from rabbits in this way would render the game a JOKE.
At any rate either I read the post wrong or it was edited after we mentioned rabbits breeding. As you said crops are worth more overall. honestly I raked in more in truffle oil last season than I did in cranberries so I dont see that all the fuss is about. My thinking is if you dont like that something isnt profitting as much as another method, find a different method. Find something else to cash in on. Its really rather simple and as I stated before, the developer has better things to consume their time with.

On the whole, I feel like animals do need more profitability, absolutely. I'd prefer to have rabbits over sheep due to the dual drops.Rabbits should be able to breed, but I don't think I'd like to see new rabbits being born every other day either.

>_>
Honestly I'm sure people are working on all sorts of mods for this stuff. I've been checking up on Nexus forums every day to see what content is coming out and whatnot but i havent seen anything related to the rabbits. I dont think most people are actually bothering with them in-game.
