Is Linus' Basket quest timed?

Was this quest timed? I almost posted this in the bug report but than again I didn't get a good look at the quest log. Didn't see much about it on the Wiki.

I recieved the quest to find Linus' Berry Basket. At first I thought I was to bring him a Blackberry and did so at 8AM. When the quest didn't finish I read it again and than began searching for the basket. By the time I found it and returned to Linus he was in his tent sometime after 8PM. At this point handing him the basket prompted me with the wrong person message and than I noticed I no longer had the quest at all.

Again, this was probably timed and I just wasted too much of it searching. Hopefully I get it again next fall.

How bizarre, I have never known this quest to be timed.. I still have mine after several months o_O

I found his basket almost year later, so at that time it wasn't timed at least. There have been updates after that, but I don't remember anything concerning that. I think the quests you get from letters are not supposed to be timed.

It isn't timed, but you may have encountered a bug. I completed the quest two years after it was given without issue. I suspect it has something to do with when and how you resolved the quest. For me, I simply talked to Linus and he automatically found the basket in my inventory and took it, with the correct dialogue and quest reward.

I've never noticed any of the quests I've recieved in the mail to be timed. Poor Pam, I made her wait for a two season for that pale ale.
