Question: Max Friendship Levels

In the recent update we were told that the last two hearts for those who are single were grayed out. We were also given permanent friendship levels once they were maxed. Do these gray hearts count towards the friendship levels to make it max, or am I safe from making my husband jealous for activating the bouquet heart event?

Your spouse will get jealous if you give like or best gifts to othe Single Villagers whether they have been given a Bouquet or not. The new Gray-Hearts means you haven't given those Single Villagers bouquets to unlock the next 2 hearts to go all the way to 10 hearts.

However, my spouse's lvl never changed from anything less than 13, even when she mentions the "reason to be suspicious" line after I gave gifts that day to the 7 other Single Villagers. I do give a "best" gift to my spouse each day though, so maybe that had something to do with it because other players report spouse lvls dropping from 13-11 or 10 hearts for no apparent reason.

Eight hearts count as maxed for marriage candidates without a bouquet...not sure if you need to be married for that to count, though.

I found out on the Stardew Valley forums with a Twitter link to the comment. Didn't have much details because Twitter, but had that much.

The friendship decay still happens with singles at 8 hearts. you have to get them to 10 to stop the decay. You only lose points with your spouse if you see the message, and they only bring it up on the day you give the singles gifts. So if you don't talk to them after giving out gifts, you'll be fine. even if you do the point lose is 25 points, just talking to your spouse gets you 20.

10 is max friendship level regardless of whether they are or aren't singled, married, boyfriend/girlfriend etc even on patch 1.07 with the new Bouequet changes (which just prevents overflow from birthday gifts to SIngle Villagers prior to Bouquets)...

*edited* disregard what I said before. After rechecking the code 8 hearts are max for singles as long as you don't give them the bouquet and they will stay at 8 and wont go down.
