This seems unecessary. Especially when it comes to Emily. Shane I can relatively understand as he has little to no impact on the community, especially once you "take care of business" so to speak.

But the relationship between Emily and Clint was adorable. I hate the idea that people are going to miss those cutscenes now as a result of natually befriending Emily over time.

Unsurprising they won though, as others said. Two of the females were grandmothers, one off in the desert which takes a while unless you minmax your farm. Emily was the only decent one.

Only Clint and Shane were decent bachelors out of the lot. Shane should of been one from the start, honestly.

Eh, Wizard, Linus and even Gus would all be fair choices too. They're all living alone, single and they don't look super old. What more do ye need?
