Social - darkened out hearts
Okay, I get the red hearts on the left, but on some villagers I also have sort of shaded out ones on the right. Can't find any information about it. Anyone know?
I've been crazy mining (winter) and neglecting everyone (I want sprinklers for spring)
Has that something to do with it?

As of the most recent patch, Single villagers have their last two hearts greyed out. These hearts were always inaccessible without a bouquet, however there was a bug / glitch that let players break the 8 heart limit.

With the change there is no confusion as to why a villagers hearts wont exceed 8. You need to purchase a bouquet from Pierre's store to unlock the final 2 hearts.

No, It's the new patch, the greyed out hearts are for Bachelor/ettes only, and they will never reach 10 hearts unless you give them a specific item

so, mine as you wish!
