Mines lvl 40 down - things like glass?

What are the things from level 40 down which sound like breaking glass when you bash them but get nothing?
Are they a resource I'm missing out on because not doing it the right way?

Thats ice.

I think it very, very rarely can contain frozen tears or ice crystals, but most of the time its just blockades.

Ice crystals, basically easily broken path blockers. Interestingly the game refers to them as "Weeds" :P

Make sure you break them with your sword so it doesn't use up Energy.

It might be just that the chance is ridiculously low maybe, I've also never got anything.

I've also gotten refined quartz from them once, but it's like extremely rare. Not really an efficient method for getting them (especially when you already have the recycling machine and quartz itself to smelt if you really wanted).
