That's not what I meant. I mean you can retrieve it from the museum after you have donated it.
Nope, once it's in it's in.

Yeah. Just keep it, pop it in the incubator and then give one of the eggs the dino lays.

You can get it any time, I got my from a Fishing Chest during Year 2, just try digging the ground or fishing and you'll find one in no time.

I got my first one from a witch that flew over my coop like the night before halloween (or whatever the game calls it, spirit's eve or some ♥♥♥♥), she turned a chicken egg into a void egg, I guess because it was in the coop in the morning and went straight into the incubator. Still cooking...

I tend to live by the rule that my 'first' encounter with any item goes to the museum, and this would be no exception for me. Completing the museum is a lot more important for me than having another non-profitable animal on the farm.

The dino lays eggs every week though...and they sell for $350 each, not counting if you have the animal products bonus.

For someone whose wallet never dips below 100,000 gold, though, what is 350 a week? Money becomes a complete non-concern before the end of the first year for anyone that abandons the concept of animals completely and focuses on crops instead.

If I had to do it again, I would take the first Dino Egg I got and take it to the Incubator. Once the Dino matures and starts producing eggs I would take the first to the Museum, the second egg it produces would go into a chest somewhere. After that I would decide, do I want to keep the Dino or just get rid of it, I've got a spare egg incase I want to have one in the future.

Just give it to the museum, you can still get another one. Beside the egg doesn't worth much, unless you really want a strange looking dino in your coop, mating with those chickens...
