Who the Hell is Mona? *SPOILER ALERT*

My guess has always been someone related to Penny, perhaps a sister or close friend.
There are various things that made me think this:

1. During Fall, Penny says with a sad face that the season is always difficult for her, but doesn't get into details. Other characters also get sad sometimes and talk about it (Kent's military service, Clint's loneliness, Shane's depression), but Penny doesn't get into details.
2. She's also sometimes seen sitting in a tree nearby the cemetery alone, close to the tombs.
3. Pam's alcoholism, which could been caused by the loss of someone close.

I found a very... weird theory.

"I think that Mona is the mother of Jas , and the wife or possibly daughter of the Wizard . I was just on the wiki and I came across all of the lost books you need to return to the library , and some are signed M.Jasper ... I think that these books were written by Mona and I think that Jas stands for Jasper , I think that must of been Mona's middle name . Also I think Jas has some connection with the Wizard because in her room she has a Junimo colouring book and as we know the Wizard seems to understand them . "

And the other one that's less belivable to me but still makes somewhat sense.

"That is the wizard's daughter, and the mother of Jas and Shane.

Why? Wizard mentions he has a daughter in the town. Shane and Jas recently moved into Marnie's place. Both have purple hair - only the wizard and presumably his daughter share this trait. Abigail often stands by the grave - she's either important to Abigail... or she only recently died. (which would explain why the wizard thinks she lives in town)

And lastly... Check Jas' dollhouse's description.

This is all speculation though."

The most likely scenario is that it's just someone's old relative. If I had to wing it, I'd probably say Penny's grandmother or something.

My vote is on Emily being his daughter personally. Her parents are mysteriously off traveling for an indefinite period of time. Makes a lot of sense that those parents could easily be the Wizard and Witch. It would also explain her interest in magic and spirits.

Anyone remember the names on the graves in HM64? It could just be a nod to that, since the game is pretty heavily based on HM64.

If Emily were his daughter then wouldn't Haley also be his daughter?

I don't know about her being Penny's sister, but observation of the tire marks puts a totally new spin on the stardew story, maybe an aspect we've never looked at before. Good job!
