The official wiki implies Shane and Jas are cousins.
Well of course if Marnie is both Jas and Shane's aunt, then they would obviously either be brother/sister OR cousins, assuming of course Concerned Ape didn't include complicated family relations like "Great Aunts."
Yeah, they are related, Marnie is an aunt to both of them. They are not brother and sister though.
The most likely scenario is that it's just someone's old relative. If I had to wing it, I'd probably say Penny's grandmother or something.
Aside from the obvious "They aren't siblings, that much is known," it's not technically impossible that Marnie isn't related to either of them, and that "Aunt" is just used as a term of affection.
Most likely, though, is that Marnie is in fact the biological aunt of at least one of them (in this case, most likely Jas), and possibly both through two different Marnie-siblings.
I know, I'm just saying the only way that Marnie could be both Jas and Shane's aunt is EITHER
by siblings or if they are not siblings then by default that must mean they are cousins.
My vote is on Emily being his daughter personally. Her parents are mysteriously off traveling for an indefinite period of time. Makes a lot of sense that those parents could easily be the Wizard and Witch. It would also explain her interest in magic and spirits.
Anyone remember the names on the graves in HM64? It could just be a nod to that, since the game is pretty heavily based on HM64.
If yes, maybe it could have been his wife
