Rain with chickens

So when it says there is going to be a storm do I put the food in the coop that day or do I put the food in the coop when the storm is happening?

Chickens will eat hay in the coop when they can't/don't go outside and eat grass -- ie, when it rains or it is winter. Personally, I keep hay available in the coop all the time and they can eat it when they need it (it doesn't go bad or disappear). Just check your coop every day and make sure there is hay available at all times, then you're sorted.

Not 100% sure what you are asking, but you should put food in the coop the day that is is physically raining, since that will be the day they can not go outside.

Sorry to jump in, but I also have some questions/problems with Chickens and Rain. I have Hay in my Silo and I see it within the Coop, however the day after it rains, not only are my Chickens "looking thin" They have angry little speach bubbles when I pet them. What am I doing wrong?

You need to click on the hay distribution thingy and put down the hay you get from it onto the flat bit just to the right. Your chicken can't pick up the hay themselves, you have to do that for them.

I tend to make sure they have as much hay set out as possible. They only eat what they need, so there's no need to worry about timing it right or "wasting" anything.

Do they have enough hay?
Is the hay on the tray and not the dropper thing?
Did you feed them before it rained?
