Upgrading a barn with Items inside

I got quite a few chests and stuff in one of my barns, If i upgrade the barn will the stuff inside be ok or do i have to clean it out first?

Yes, you'll be fine if you have barn animals / chests stuff inside beforehand. All it does is add space and whatever else it comes with (like the Deluxe Barn for instance).

It will still be in there. Maybe not on the same spot but you won't loose anything. I'm still not sure about bugs, but I didn't loose anything so it should be okay.
