No truffles in winter?
My pigs aren't going outside now that it's winter. Will they go out at all or are they just dead weight during the winter months?

No truffles in winter, no. You will have to wait until Spring.

i buy pig in winter and sell em the next winter. the rate of getting truffles seems to be the same no matter how much they hearts have. However the hearts determines the pigs sell price soo.

Yeah I'm gonna sell these pigs, which are worth more than I paid for them then buy more a few days before spring so as soon as spring rolls around they're adults and ready to start finding truffles.

Anyone know how long it takes for pigs to become adults? I checked the wiki but it doesn't say. Is it a week?

Pretty sure it's longer. Although I only had sheep to compare to my pigs. Pigs seemed to take two weeks, the sheep took one week if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure cows are around 1 week as well.

Do keep in mind these are just estimizations on my part from memory. I have no clue on the actual numbers.

Wiki says it takes cows 5 days to mature.

I guess it is to compensate for the fact that truffles are so much better than other barn-animal products. And from my experience, the 5-heart pigs find ALOT more truffles than those with fewer hearts, somewhere between 1 and 3 each day each.

Actually it depends more on luck and how often you work on out doors on your field. hearts dont really matter it much more profitable to sell them every winter.

My pig is really terrible finds maybe 1 truffle each week.
I guess they can't find truffles if I'm not around the farm?
