Kind of wondering how you managed to get two earthquakes when there's only one earthquake event.
I think it can happen more than once if the player never goes to the railroad tracks screen.

The later events say that there was an EXPLOSION during the night, and signals a meteor hitting the ground nearby that can be mined for Iridium.

If you're lucky. Unlike the earthquake, meteor has no predefined dates. It relies purely on RNGod whim. 2 years and not a single meteor or fairy visit me.

Depends on your definition of 'lucky' - it took out a fruit tree :(

When that explosion happened, I spent all damn day running around my farm to see if anything was broken. Nothing. I ran all around town to see if anything had changed. Nothing. Wrote it off. Two weeks pass, the season changes, I'm clearing out the new debris on my farm and I finally see the meteor, practically hidded near the edge of my land. Took me a few seconds to realize it was from the explosion event.

So you essentially have an immovable, untouchable iridium deposit on your farm. Depending where it lands its not
Exactly Lucky
