Trees, water?
Seeing a lot of conflicting things. Do trees need to be watered? I know about leaving the 8 adjacent tiles open, but it seems as though people are saying fruit trees don't need water, but non fruit trees do? Is this correct? Just trying to organize/set up my trees.

No sapling or trees that grow from saplings need water.

Trees do not need any water whatsoever.

No watering. Soil will be untilled so it wouldn't do anything if you tried. And, tilled soil counts as not leaving a tile open, by the way.

Fruit trees need watering everyday when they are maturing(for 28 days) and when they are producing fruit. After between seasons it dont matter, Pine, Oak and Maple trees grow on their own.

The wiki says this: "Fruit trees do not need to be watered, and will not die in the winter."
You don't have to water them, i never watered any of my trees and the produce fruits :)

If 1 out of 5 say they need watering and all others say they don't odds are that the one person is wrong.

And no they don't need watering.

Haha I mean yes I was gonna go with the majority, but that's what I meant by "conflicting" hahaha.

None of the trees need to be watered. They take a while to grow, which confuses some ppl into thinking that maybe they do.

The only difference between the fruit trees and the wild trees (Oak, Pine, and Maple), is that the fruit trees require 8 empty adjacent tiles surrounding it whereas the wild trees require 4 adjacent tiles (Top, Bottom, Left and RIght) to not have a matured tree there already.

Floor tiles can be placed directly next to each and every trees after it reaches maturity, though. It's good to know if you want to decorate.

He's a troll. No maintenance needed, just keep the square next to saplings clear of any debris and DONT HOE THE DIRT (ALSO COUNTS AS DEBRIS).

2 Squares for fruit trees, 1 Square for Wild trees.

Okay follow up question. Can trees share a "open space". So for maple, lets say, is supposed to have a 1 square radius clear. So can I have, theoretically, tree, empty space, tree? And then for truit trees it would be tree, space, space, tree? Just making sure I have this correct, thank you.
