Stardew valley: I cant build a barn or upgrade my already built coop

So i'm on my 2nd year of spring in stardew valley. I already built a coop and probably produce over 200 eggs. I heard you can upgrade your coop to hold more chickens and other animals so when i went to robin i didn't even have an option to do so. then i notice that i didn't even have an option to build a Barn for cows. I also went to marnie to buy a cow and it says i need to have a barn in order to buy a cow, but i dont have an option to even build a barn. All there is , is an option to build a regular coop. is there like a certain time when i can build a barn and upgrade coop? like do i have to wait till year 3 to do so. or maybe i can only do so in the fall? Or is the game just glitched. Can someone please help me figure this out.

There is a arrow under the coop. Click it and you can "scroll" through the buildung menu...

I think ConcernedApe should probably increas the size of those arrows a tad.

A lot of people, including myself, seem to miss them quite easily.

Yup.The arrows need to be bigger, or bright orange or something. Took me like 3 trips to Robin's house to finally see the stupid arrows when I was trying to build a silo. I just assumed you had to do certain things to unlock new buildings.

Same here lol, all I saw was a coop but wanted a silo first. Checked out the wiki to see if there was a quest to unlock it. Finally figured it out and wanted to slap myself.
