As for the fence breaking so quickly, just don't build trash fences. Skip wood, make stone wall fences, which last a whole season. Make hardwood fences if you're still determined to use fences, but honestly, a better option is to use indestrucible objects like furnaces, kegs, cheese and mayo makers. Gates last 100 days and you can place them in a row, so you could make an entire fence made out of gates, but the cost is 10 wood/section instead of 2.
Or if you've moved up to iridium sprinklers and don't need your quality sprinklers anymore, use those quality sprinklers as indestructible fences. Not pretty, but lasts forever.
Your tips are good but yes not pretty. Some of us actually like the look of fences. If they are meant to be a resource sink then maybe they should be more expensive. But nothing is as tedious as having to replace a few stone fence sections every day.
I like the look of stone fences... Why not let them last a year at least?
Indeed.
lol I can already imagine fences made out of furnaces, the ultimate evil farm.
Also, if you like wooden fences, use hardwoord ones, they are basically a recolor and last a lot longer.
At least she fills my cats bowl, too <.<
Use bee hives as your fence walls. Works perfectly.
