Upgraded watering can is driving me insane
I recently upgraded to the copper watering can and was super excited thinking it was going to save me all this time and energy and enable me to upgrade my crop capacity. So I happily planted ~130 cranberries for fall and started on my way.

However, the aiming mechanism for the additional tiles is driving me flippin' nuts. Sometimes I'll be facing one direction, click and hold, and my character turns to the left or right and waters there. I've found no way to cancel that action and try aiming again, so it's just a waste of energy/time and my crops get watered all willy nilly.

I feel like I waste more energy trying to aim and then getting it wrong than I should. I have to be missing something obvious. Any hints/tips?

theres an option (in the settings) to see what tile you are aiming at. although its where your mouse is and which way your character is facing

Turn on Tool Hit Locations, and know that depending on your location in perspective to the tile you're watering which way you may end up spraying.

I've already got the tile aiming box turned on. I dislike that it sometimes glitches and won't aim properly in my cranberry fields, but that isn't my main gripe. I just don't understand why I'll be facing right, aiming right with my mouse, and then it'll turn me to face another direction when I charge up the watering action. Like, yes, you technically started at the correct tile and watered 3 tiles, but in the completely wrong direction, and I have no idea why.

It drives me to swearing :|.

If you're standing too far up on the tile or too far down, when you aim diagonally you might end up watering up or down. If you're in the centre of the tile you usually water left or right. I can't think of an occasion where I was aiming directly left or right and it watered in a different direction.

Honestly, it's that issue that made me think the Copper/Steel watercan wasn't worth it. Gold/Iridium are great though.

I find the first two upgrades, the best way to do it is walk in a single direction alongside your crops and water into them. It's why most of my crop formations are in columns of 3 / 5 at the start, I can walk parallel to them and water the entire row.

If you miss anything you are still wasting energy and water though. most of the time i only miss about 6-13% (i think)

if only i could find more Iridum sometimes to grab at least the hoe/watering can upgrades. although i use mostly sprinklers now...

I just upgraded to Steel and it's a million times better. It waters where I point. Thank non-existent Jesus!

On the other hand, it looks like I'm doing an extra special poopy every time I charge up the watering can xD.

I have that when im fighting in the dungeon. For example, a bug or some other critter that wants to kill me approaches from the right. I face right and hit to attack, but my character then faces upwards and the bug hits me. I point in the direction of the enemy with my arrow but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

I'm getting there, but I went all-in on fishing so I kind of neglected mining and artisan stuff like owning animals. When I eventually start a new game, I'm going to be so baller just by virtue of knowing wtf I'm doing.

Ive never even used them, got a 4 sqaure and 8 square one just sat in a chest, i should really use them. Just i havent bothered, i mine a bit but i forget to, im on about floor 40. Once its winter i plan to do more mining and fishing too since i cant plant crops.
I was holding out until i get the highest sprinkler, and make those. But i could do with spending time making the 8 block ones atleast, i shall do this winter since fall is almost over.

I think the aiming is bugged as sometimes the whol line is one full grid off, sometimes when I'm watering only 1 tile it waters a tile behind me or 1 in a completely off direction.
Entering/exiting inventory fixes it but its annoying as hell

I have had the watering can and other tools miss ocassionally but usually its when im swapping aiming between two blocks and i click to use and it waters/mines some other random block near me.
