Abigail or Leah?

So, im conflicted on who to choose for my wife.

Here are my pros and cons for both villagers, and there are a few minor spoilers so don't read on if you plan on choosing one of the two and haven't seen their stories yet.

Obviously, Abigail is really cool. She's different and has a cute story line to go through. However, i find her a bit... childish. I feel as if shes in her 16-18 year old range and i'm not sure shes uh...wife material as of right now. The whole, "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME MOM!", "My parent's are lame" "I wanna do dangerous things" kind of attitude is a little cliche and i can't help but see her as more of a rebellious stubborn girlfriend rather than a wife. Although, i REALLY want to see how her ending goes for myself. I didn't want to spoil it (and please don't comment on what it is) But i hear it has to do with the mines and apparently is very cute.

So... Pros: Different from the other villagers, cool, pretty cute sometimes, probably eats gems.
Cons: Stubborn, basically emo, childish, not farmer-material as of right now. (Also, everyoneee marries her...so)

Then theres Leah, shes mature, sweet, and works hard. She's literally a flower, so innocent and kind. And shes an artist, artists are rad. She moved to Stardew to become an artist and won't let anything stop her. But... shes a little bit, i guess, bland? Her story line is also adorable, with you helping her get her ex off her back, her giving you a gift, etc etc. I can see myself ending with her, having her care for our animals, painting, and i'm leaning towards her a bit, but i feel she would get a bit boring after some time. Yes, she could be a wife. And a farmer girl. But i kind of want more... (Also, i'm a female so id love to see how Kel looks as a girl because her ex changes depending on your gender which is also a nice touch for the lgbt community)

Pros: More mature, SWEET AF, innocent cupcake, artist (can make art for you i think), has the farmer-wife feel
Cons: Bland, would get boring, probably doesn't eat gems, basically a normie, might cry if she sees me eating meat.

People keep saying Abigail is whiny, well I would be too if I had her parents.
It seems like every breath out of Carolines mouth is "I wish my daughter wasn't this, I wish my daughter wasn't that."
♥♥♥♥♥, maybe if you accepted your daughter for who she is you'd both be happier.

If it was a gradual change it might be different. But she's a b*tch who can't even be arsed to remember your name, refuses to do anything but cooking for the household shoving the entire load on her sister and treats you like trash until you hit six hearts, then suddenly, poof, she transforms into the sweet girl that wants to start reading books instead of fashion magazines, wants to broaden her horizons, give away her excess clothes and starts to like small-town things and dirt... yeah I'm not buying that. I refuse to push all the blame for her behaviour on her parents, too.

To me, she's the same person as she was before I hit six hearts with her, just that she's now trying to appeal to me by saying lines I should like. It comes across as calculating and cheap to me.
But fair play to you if you interpret it differently. It's totally cool being of different opinions.

Spoilerish reasoning if you haven't had all the conversations with everyone in the game.

(And yes I know in game all partners end up being almost identical in marriage so none of this really matters)

Abigail, hopefully will grow out of parental resentment, but the winning points for her are: Only child of the owners of the general store, so will inherit that when they kick it, nice to combine with your thriving farm and able to sell direct to the public.

Also it is strongly implied she is actually the daughter of the wizard and has magical powers of her own, nothing useful at the moment, but definitely future potential.

Likes computer games too, so I am sure we can all relate. :-)

Reasons to reject the rest.

Leah the artist has potential, has her own home, supports herself with art, but appears to be vegetarian and has a predeliction for running away from her problems.

Penny is broke, baby crazy, and you would end up with an alcoholic mother-in-law.

Maru is a genius, but overbearing father-in-law alert, also Sebastian as a brother is such an emo dipstick that Abigail's flaws in that area are minor in comparison, also means business would be split in the inheritance.

Hayley, only if you are into barbie-dolls.

Sebastian as above out whines Abigail any day of the week and lacks the adventurous personality to compensate for it.

Harvey, runs the medical practice but is apparently not doing well financially and lacks a spine.

Elliot, lives in a shack and epitomises the worst parts of starving artist and delusions of granduer beyond his actual skill at writing.

Sam, even if he does become a successful rock-star (not likely) that just means he would never be around to help on the farm

Alex, look forward to having a roid raging loser as a partner after he fails at the big leagues.
