Gameplay on two computers
Hello - So i have the luxury of having a job where i can game during downtime on my work desktop. So Steam is on there - as well as my home laptop. I noticed the last time I played Stardew it randomly asked me if i wanted to pull the most recent file from the cloud, onto my laptop. I did this, seemed well enough. Now, i am trying to play for the first time in a week on my work PC and there is no automatic syncing happening - and it's quite out dated as far as where i am at time wise in the game. How do i force an update to get my game current on this device? Thanks in advance.

So the problem is that you cant get same save file on your different computer?

Correct.

The only thing i can advise is to transport the save file manually with flash drive.

Is this A-typical for games on Steam?

I've played on two separate computers, but I was logged into this steam account on both. I use the PC when my boyfriend isn't on it to play Stardew and use my laptop offline on his account when he's on the PC (allows me to play whilst he's on CS).

The PC save file wasn't updated to where I was on my laptop, so I went online on the laptop and waited for it to sync and then the save file was updated on the PC.

Not sure if that is of use to you for your situation, but I thought I'd share in case it can help someone.

That is good to know, thanks for sharing. Do you remember how long took for it to sync, and at what point it did that? It seems to be automatic and random from my minminal experience.

This has happened to me to with a few other games, the same problem happened to me, there should just be a button you could press to make steam check, but no, sadly not.

Absolutely. That was my assumption, that a button existed and I just didn't know where it was.
