Possible to get new tools?
I'm curious: are you supposed to be able to lose tools from your inventory when you die in the mines? And if so, surely you must be able to get new ones? Losing the axe and the watering can seems like a pretty major issue, especially if there's no way to replace them.

If you do lose any of your tools then you should get some sent to you the next day, if you choose to proceed onwards from then. Though, most people just end up exiting the game (to restart the day) if they do die and lose stuff like tools and such.

Tools should not be lost

Considering what a great job Concerned Ape did on this game, I reckon he has that covered, i.e. no essential equipment gets taken

One question about it, if I lose a gold axe, will I receive a gold axe or the standard axe?

Well it definitely does, I lost my golden axe and pick axe after dying in the mines.

But it seems, according to Daitetsu, you get new ones sent to you the next day. That's something I feel like the game ought to let you know about ahead of time. It's no wonder most people just quit out of the game and reload at the beginning of the day.

if you lose your tools you get basic tools back. not the upgraded version if you had one. but i believe your tools are unloseble almost.

As I said in a previous post, they're easily loosable. I died in the Skull Cave yesterday, which caused me to lose 12 items. Among them were at least three of my tools (golden axe, golden pick axe, golden watering can). And earlier in the week I lost a regular hoe when I died in the first mine.

why not throw the tool you dont need inot a chest before going out?

If you get somewhat deep into the skull mines, you'll probably run outta inventory space. No need to take a watering can, axe, and fishing rod with you.

I've made it down into the mid-40s and still haven't run out of inventory space. I tend to run out of inventory space way faster in the regular mines.

Mostly I just forget to offload before I go there. Maybe I should see if I can drop a chest near the cave entrance.

safest bet is to place a chest at the entrance of both mines, you can place them with no hassle.

drop the unneeded items such as fishing rods or scythe, and off you go
