Do the "season" Seeds give Foraging xp or Farmin XP? or both

Was bored in WInter, year 2, so I decided to plant Winter Seeds around on my farm. When I harvested, every crop was gold.

Now, I'm already level 10 Foraging, and I have the perk that all forages are gold. Which makes me think it counts them as Foraging. But does it give Forage XP?

Just wondering, cause Foraging is always my last, and hardest skill to level up. If harvesting the "Seasonal" seeds counts as Foraging, might be a good way to Power level foraging.

Just wondering if anyone knows, or has tried this? If not, I might check on my next play through

If the plant the seed produces is labelled Forage, it will level Foraging I would imagine.

I guess you mean xp for harvesting a foraged seed? I've had a situation where i leveled up in farming after selling Mixed Seed produce but since I got it as a reward from Community Quests, not sure if I would have gotten xp if I had foraged it myself. But I don't think its likely the game remembers where you got those seeds from, just a hunch.

Yes it gives foraging exp, in very large quantities it can be used to farm Foraging if needed.
