And besides, do you really want to marry the girl wearing the red dress who works in a bar with a bedroom in the back??
She's going to be added as a candidate soon, and Shane too.
I'm also wondering how CA is going to tackle the Emily/Clint storyline once she becomes eligible for the player to marry. I thought maybe something as simple as allowing the player to talk him out of going after her could work.
But totally LOLing over the idea of having Clint snap. :D
That bedroom is Gus's.
She made that dress herself! I think it looks fabulous!
And did you just skim over the rest of the stuff of I typed???
Wizard and Linus are the only two I can think of as being solo and not owning a shop.
I'd support Clint becoming a romance option, he was my secret santa... gave me geodes which I had to spend money at his shop to open. I'd say he was bold, but I did end up bowing down and giving him money to open them. I guess he wins that one.
Man, it'd be like marrying Won all over again, bugger wouldn't even give his wife so much as a 10% discount in his shop.
Anyway, what about Gus? Dude won't have his assistant, he'll have to do everything himself, and his business might suffer as a result.
We'll have to wait and see how CA handles it.
How do you figure? It's not that long of a trip from the farm to the saloon, and Emily's not a lazy bum like her sister, if Penny can still find time to tutor Vincent and Jas I see no reason Emily can't do her job at the saloon.
Why thank you! I tried really hard! :3
I think it would make sense if you still see her working in the saloon some nights. Maybe only part time. Other spouses go into town once in a while (Alex goes to visit his grandparents, for instance), so Emily's day in town could include her working at the saloon for a little while.
I totally understans that you don't need bad things to happen to you to make you feel bad, but he could at least say to himself "Hey I'm not happy here, I'm going to do something about it." instead of just say, "Well I'm not happy here so I may as well just give up."
Besides I think Emily has a thing for Sandy, not Clint, and he might think that too if he ever actually took the time to get to know her rather than dwell on his own misery. Sure, he knows she likes amethysts, but does he know much else? I think she can do better than someone with such low motivation. I hope, though, that he finds happiness with himself and realizes some of his passions.
Yeah my first character married two days ago and I've already started a new game because all the magic was lost. [/rant]
I don't know. Alex's grandparents tell me that they're happy that I'm a part of the family now and that they hope Alex finds happiness on the farm because he's a good kid or something to that effect. I thought it was super sweet when they said that. Mind you, this is my only experience with marriage in the game, so I don't know what it's like when you marry other characters.
Maybe it helps if you befriend their family? I'm at 10/10 with Evelyn and 7/10 with George, so it could be that your spouse's family members say more if they feel comfortable with you.
Also, I think it was just a coincidence, but Haley was "ignoring" me the day after the flower dance when I took her place and danced with Alex. I know that most likely wasn't planned, but it made me giggle. :)
Honestly, I have this idea, that if you Marry Emily, Gus will hire Shane to help with the Saloon, so he des not have to work at Joja anymore. Shane is there a lot of the time anyway.
Or maybe Leah. She has nothing to do, and is there a lot.
