Can your wife/husband cheat on you?

Knowing that you can indeed cheat with your wife/husband, I wonder if they can cheat on you if you do actually begin to cheat on him/her. Like for instance, you give another girl/guy a bounquet while you are married with someone else, and that triggers you actually cheating on your wife/husband, instead of just giving someone a gift.

Abby, even though I gave Leah a gift, that doesnt mean Im cheating on you. I gave Haley a sunflower, and yet you didnt complained. Sometimes you dont make sense

Also once you move out the farm, your ex-spouses counterpart (Leah-Elliot, Alex-Haley, Abby-Sebastian, Maru-Harvey, Emily-Shane.) and 5 days after you moved out there would be a marriage ceremony that you would be forced to attend.
Also one way of getting your farm back is to use the dark shrine of memory, then once you reached 10 hearts, the counterpart would move out and you would get your farm. But you can still access the Caves and Island.
