Most Hated By Fans- My guess is Haley and Demetrius. Haley cause her 1st encounters are very hard to look past, and the female playerbases are usually very unforgiving of rude females but love (Shane, Sebastian) the male ones. Demetrius is fake and basically goes against you being around his daughter.
Most Hated By Me- Demetrius and George. Demetrius, again, is against you being near his daughter. I told the truth to Maru and he pretty much suger coats and lies about what he said. I got him as who I needed to shop for Secret Santa and he took multiple bottles of wine from me instead of one and didn't seem that impressed with them. Meanwhile, George plays up the victim card that you were judging him upon seeing him yet basically he is doing what he blames everyone else of doing for always thinking the other, younger people are judging him. I don't HATE them, but they do rub me the wrong way.
Most Hated Fandom Viewpoint for Me- Sebastian. Look at 90% of the other villagers and tell me they don't have a harder life than this boy that only whines in self pity. All of his "abuse" is in his own head and he lashes out at everyone else. But again, people are much more forgiving on rude males than females. I don't hate Sebastian, I hate how people see him as some victim when he basically lashes out at Maru, Robin, Sam, and Abigail who love him but he doesn't respect them back.
Having reach 8 hearts with Haley and 6 hearts with Shane, I forgive them both.
I hope ConcernedApe looks through this and takes it as feedback, editing a few lines here and there. On all characters mentioned.
For me, at least, part of the difference between them is that Haley initially comes across as thinking you're beneath her, Shane just acts like he wants to be left alone. It's easier for me to forgive someone for being closed off than it is to forgive someone for being stuck up.
This.
Haley is a totally different beast. For me, it's not even so much that she insults my PC personally, it's that I don't want to associate with anybody with her personality. It'd be like that even if she only was like that towards others and friendly towards me.
Abigail, I don't like very much, and also Maru. Maru is a pampered daddy's girl who is complacent watching her brother be a perpetual black sheep and not ever developing a close relationship with him, and Abigail is one of those completely average-intellect girls who thinks she's ten times deeper than she really is (and, sadly, manages to convince most players of that, for some reason).
Why doesn't he just GIVE you them, you earned them afterall!
But NO he wants to make a profit on your success, smug rat b******
Sebastian doesn't respect them because they don't respect him back. They don't respect his job. They don't respect that he is an introvert. He admits at one point that being around people makes him feel anxious. Introverts often avoid social interaction because it makes them uncomfortable and triggers their anxiety. This is especially true of being around complete strangers, which is why he treats you the way that he does at the beggining. Abigail ignores the fact that he is working and says "nah I'm coming over to hang out whether you like it or not". Sorry, but if one of my friends did that while I was doing my job, I would also be irritated. The most disrespect he shows towards Sam is saying he doesn't feel like hanging out today, which is fair enough for anyone. We all have our off days, and that is particularly true of introverts.
He has issues with Maru and Demetrius because of the obvious favourtism. He later admits that most of issues between himself and Maru were created by himself, which is progress at least. Personally I feel the issues between himself and Robin/Demetrius could be explained more with some backstory on his real father. Like what if his father died and he feels resentful to Robin for remarrying, and starting a completely new family? Not only would he feel pushed aside, he might feel the memory of his father is being sullied.
Crap that went on for too long.
Anyway, disliked characters?
Morris- for obvious reasons.
Hayley- she dissed my shoes T_T WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME, WOMAN? I'M A FARMER NOT A MODEL.
Pam- yeah, I'm not big on parents who screw over their kids -_- Poor Penny =(
Demetrius- chill the ♥♥♥♥ out dude, Maru and I are just friends O_O plus invest some time in your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ step-son, you a-hole.
Lewis- If you somehow got your underpants INTO Marnie's room, surely you can get them OUT? My dislike for this character mostly came out of the cutscene where he and Marnie are discussing their relationship. Marnie's all like "so can we become official already?" and he's all like "nah ♥♥♥♥♥, I'm the mayor, I have a reputation to upkeep, we gotta keep this on the down low!" And then begs you to keep quiet when he figures out you overheard. Ummm, sorry? What is it about your relationship that is so scandulous that it would ruin your reputation? The only thing I can think of is the possible age difference, and I have no idea how old these characters are for it to be so harshly judged. Lewis is a ♥♥♥♥.
I'm okay with Shane. He got me blind drunk and left me at the end of a pier, 10/10 friend. Seriously though he cool. Plus I kind of made sure he became unemployed, soooo... meep.
We can't read a fictional character's mind, of course, but that seems to me to be a GIANT variable, very human and predictable, and if they were real people and if I could get a bet in Vegas about what would wind up factoring into the whole familial dynamic ... I'd lay good money on that being an unquestionable part of what's going on.
I don't like Maru, though. She goes along with the Daddy's Girl schtick far too easily and lets Sebastian suffer over it.
Can't confirm if same mother or step.
He's selling the hats which the player unlocked by reaching milestones... to the player...who unlocked them. If he was selling all the hats from the begining, regardless of acheivements then fair enough, but he'll only sell you the hats you've unlocked.
In my mind it's kind of like, running a marathon and then have some mousey mug sell you your medal for finishing
Haha I love you
