Poll: End of Year 2 Earnings?
So, I just finished up Year 2 (After skipping most of Winter 2 because I couldn't be bothered).

My farm made a little over $2,150,000. Most of that was from crops in Year 2 (Though there was a fair bit of kegging and preserves going in in Year 2 as well).

For reference, I made around $375,000 at the end of Year 1.

How much did your farm make?

(Please no cheating or hacking, thanks)

250k. I thought corn was best because expensive, long grow time, and multi season :/

Yeah, definitely not the case. The three berries are generally the best (Strawberry, blueberry, and cranberry), and if you plant them at the beginning of the season, you can reap numerous harvests of them before the end of the season. I also had a fair bit of Hops in Summer too, because when kegged, they produce a good profit too.

The only downside to this, the strawberry seeds you can't get until the Easter festical about halfway through Spring. So the initial plant only gets two harvests in season... and you won't really have the cash on hand to buy more. (You only get one chance per year to buy them, unless you can get them in the Desert shop, but I keep forgetting to check)

Also, something I noticed about this game, is that, as a general rule, the longer you can wait for your investments, the more they're worth. Farming is great, but if you can craft kegs and preserves, you can throw your crops in those and make even more cash. x3

Of course, I may havealso expanded my crop farm numerous times, to the point where it now takes almost 30 Iridium Sprinklers to keep everything watered... xD (Yeah, my crop farm is pretty massive)

Don't worry, I read the guides and have a greenhouse full of ancient fruits. :/

I actually never bothered to fix the Greenhouse. (Mostly because the whole Community Center bit is not enjoyable, I probably should have just razed the place in favor of Joja Mart, but I didn;t have the heart to do it)....

That's probably also why I pretty much skipped Winter 2. Yeah, I did some kegging and preserving, a mines raid or two, but that was about it.

Almost 600k, and i'm almost done year two (24th of winter), not too shabby, espially because I prefer realitonships over profit

I really need to concentrate on farming. I've just been running around doing random stuff and exploring. End of year one and all I have is around $1500 lol

That's alright, take the game at your own pace

im in fall year 2 with about 1 million. Just got greenhouse kind of late. Once you get greenhouse + ancient seed/star fruit its GG. You always have high sell crops
Everyone has their purpose but for me its just amassing money. Dont care for the relationship crap seems kind of boring to me. I need more iridium though so that is my end game and skull caves.

1st of winter, year 2, 1.5 million. I'm going to get 5 more harvests from the cranberries in my greenhouse so that's going to be another 170 000 on top of that. I don't have enough kegs to make star fruits profitable in comparison to cranberries so for now, it's cranberries. I'm producing the necessary components for my kegs but so far the trees haven't cooperated too much so I'm still around 90 short. But I'm also going to start mass production of beer so either I profit of that massivly or I'll get drunk, either way I'm happy :P

By year 3 I'm probably going to average around 150-200k per harvest with around 4 harvests on average per season, so my budgeted margins in year 3 is based around a 3.2M income, with around 30% of that going in costs.

Yeah, my little farm is run like a business, and my goal is to harvest as much gold as I can :)

over 3 million dont rememebr teh exact number but syummer of year 2 is when I got around to starfruit wine making...
PhOeNiX_H Apr 15, 2016 @ 12:46pm
5.5 million. Got Greenhouse really early (spring, year 2) and decided to focus on Blueberries (summer) and Cranberries (fall and greenhouse) at year 2. After finish year 1 earning only 750k, you could say year 2 was a blast. hah.

Oh, Pale Ale is also awesome for early players. I have 24 reserved places for Hops in greenhouse just because of that.
Alpacalypse Apr 15, 2016 @ 1:43pm
600K by the end of Year 1. Pale Ale is ridiculously overpowered and carried me through most of winter. When that ran out, I had 300 cranberries stashed away for jam and wine.
I'll have the greenhouse by summer of year 2, meaning I can have a permanent 8K/day (approx) from hops. I'll likely also grow blueberries for pure profit, cranberries and pumpkins.

Uh, well, I guess I'm just not good at this game. At the end of year 2 I made around 170K.

I hate to Necro a thread, but I'd rather this than make a new topic of the same sort.

I'm currently on First Year, Day 2 of Summer, and my total earnings are 21K. I can't help but feel like I'm doing it all terribly wrong.
Chocice75 Nov 20, 2017 @ 5:06am
I haven't gotten that far yet...
