Where to sell?

Let's say i want to sell fish. Should i sell it to Willy or put it in the chest close to my house. Does it give the same amount of money?

it is the same amount of money. Only difference is if you sell to Willy, you get the money immediately, if you put it in the chest, you get it the following morning

The only items the chest doesn't sell are weapons/rings/boots - go the adventurer's guild to sell them.

its exactly the same money, you can sell to willy or put in the chest

To be clear: the "chest" they're talking about is the Shipping Box located to the right of your house, outside. Not the "chest" that you can craft and store things in.

You probably knew that, but I just wanted to be sure. They tell you plainly at the beginning of the game to put stuff you want to sell in the shipping container.

You need to click on his shop where you would be able to buy bait and tackle from him, then right click on the fish in your inventory you want to sell.

I'm also not entirely sure if you get fishing experience for selling to Willy rather than selling in your own box.

You don't get fishing experience for selling fish either way. You get it from catching them.
