My trees are not growing??
I planted oak, maple, and pine trees, leaving the tiles adjacent to them empty and after 20 days only 1 of the 8 planted has grown.. The wiki says they grow in 10-12 days?? I really need the resin to build kegs...

Can you take a screenshot of the trees/seeds you're trying to grow? That will help determine what the problem is.

As you see, I planted 2x pine 2x maple and 2x oak and after 20 days only 1 maple tree has fully grown :S

You could also go just next to your farm, at the bus stop, and put 2 kegs on the oaks right there :P

You did plant them right, it's just a matter of time, according to the wiki there is a 20% chance every day for the tree to grow one stage, the luck just may not have played in your favor. 10-12 days seems short, the wiki might be wrong.
edit: I read the wiki page closer, and it says a two tile radius has to be clear of all items. The tree will still grow, just slower. The eight tile radius is the radius at which a tree will not grow if something is blocking it, the 2 tiles out radius is the optimal clearance for fast growth.

:S I didnt know that, I thought it was just like the fruit trees requiring to be in the center of a 3x3 square :S 2 tiles radius seems massive... it would take a lot of space :S

It would grow quickly, but I think it's far more efficient long term to plant like you did. It takes a little longer to be fully compact, but it will be well worth it because you can fit more trees into your farm.

You can also tap any of the trees in Cindertap forest (next to and all below Marnies ranch) right down to the sewer.

Tree growth on your farm (non-fruit trees) is subject to rng. You can have anything you want next to a tree seed and it will still grow eventually.

I did an experiment a few months ago where I planted trees in various configurations (1 space, 2 spaces, path next to the seed, no path). The trees with the supposed "optimal" spacing actually grew worse than trees one space apart and completely surrounded by paths.

Trees off your farm grow in 10-12 days.
