Do all paths decay overtime (like the Cobblestone Path)?
So I'm looking at my farm, and I see an accessway to the north and south and think "I should plan a path to access these. Maybe it'll stop the overgrown bushes and stuff from growing".
I look on the Wiki, hearing someone saying that paths will decay overtime, and the only one that mentions this is the Cobblestone Path.
It says "It deteriorates over time like fences, lasting anywhere between two and three seasons."

The others don't show this. I'm wondering if this is a typo from people who are editing the wiki. Searched around and was sadderened it wouldn't stop bushes and stuff taking it over. But I thought "Oh well, I could just easily replace them".
Anyway, there is no mention of the paths decaying. Not even the Cobblestone Path is mentioned. I am confused, and that's why I made this.

As easy as it is to just replace the paths if they do decay, I also would prefer they won't decay quickly. Having to replace them constantly would just make me not even do it from the start.

I don't think that's how it works. Paths are infinite. Fences eventually deteoriate, though.

What about the overgrowth eventually taking over the paths if left unchecked enough?
It would make sense if the cobblestone path deteriorates, since cobblestone's made up of a bunch of tiny rocks.

I haven't personally used any paths yet, so I can't tell you from experience, but if the Wiki says none of the other paths decay, then they probably don't.
Just because a path disappears doesn't mean it was from decay. Lightning can strike paths and knock them loose. If you don't pick up the loose object, it will disappear (not sure what all triggers that: sleeping/leaving screen).

Nevertheless, I put some kind of stone path along the perimeter of the farm in the hopes that it would stop the overgrowth from spawning each season. It didn't. The overgrowth spawned in its place.

So like OP, I'm mildly pissed/disappointed. I can't be bothered to use something that isn't permanent. I don't want chores to do. The feeling of accomplishment I'm supposed to get from putting in all the hard work just went right out the window.

I sense sarcasm here. I hope it's not.

Anyway, guys. Thanks so much for the answers. Quite helpful.
Not sarcastic. I won't use paths anymore.
The pathways and flooring are permanent, but can be destroyed or knocked loose by spreading creeper vines, lightning strikes, and meteor crashes. They will not decay over time.
