Is there any point? A hidden use for their eggs?

They sell the exact same amount as a regular chicken and their eggs are worth less then large chicken or duck eggs, and you can't use them in a recipe or turn them into mayo, their utterly worthless.

So unless there some sort of secret to having them whats the point? Financially their a loss, so just cosmetics?

I think Void Egg is Sebastian's liked/loved gift, so there's that.

I thought you could replace them with normal eggs in recipes. I guess I'm wrong.

Well, you could always eat them when your energy is running low, and they're one of Sebastian's loves, so they earn you friendship points too.

In addition to Sebby, there is one other villager who looooves void eggs. I included the info as a spoiler, in case you'd rather find out on your own :)

But basically, if you can afford to keep your void chicken, having a little stash of eggs is not a bad idea.

Krobus "lives" in the sewers, where you can fish one of the legendary fish. The key to the sewers is unlocked by donating a certain amount of artifacts to Gunther. Krobus loves void eggs, and can sell some nifty stuff including iridium sprinklers on Fridays

I'm already 10 hearts with krobus, i been giving him diamonds LOL i'm actually rich in the game, i make my money from selling ancient wine.......nuf said

Then you likely don't need to keep your void chicken :D

And yep, ancient fruit wine is awesome. I wonder if it will ever be dethroned in terms of effort versus income. I'm a lazy farmer.

If i ever get around to creating a second character for the purpose of the opposite gender, siding with joja mart instead of the community and choosing different perks, i would definetly go with Mass maple, oak and pine tree's all over my property initially, work hard in the mines for copper and iron. Only every build sprinklers and make enough space for about 192 plots of crops for each seasons 'berry' type only, their good income. That way i can focus most of my gold spending on the joja warehouse, greenhouse, ancient fruit seeds, and getting that greenhouse full of them A.S.A.P so i can slowly remove the forest and turn it into a ancient fruit vineyard, spring to end of fall about 960 ancient fruit plants growing with iridium sprinklers and surrounded by rarecrows, and about 500 kegs with the artisan 50% value perk. and thats a HUGE IF i want to bother with a second save file *shudders* XD

The Void Eggs sell for 75g apiece, I believe?

Basically it's a good enough reason to keep one or two void chickens around, as their eggs are worth enough just picking up off the ground to pay for the hay you feed them if you buy your hay instead of grow it. I think Void Mayo is coming, but otherwise there's nothing really all that special about them (besides hatching indo totally adorable chickens).

You can use void eggs to replace eggs in cooking. I know because of the unexplained fact that the game will use ingredients on your person before using ingredients in the fridge. I found this out the hard way: I was carrying a void egg because I wanted to gift it later, when I tried to cook another gift for someone else, my void egg got used :(

Void egg mayo is one of the things teased for 1.1; it's not a huge thing (at least compared to sheds, windmills and that totem pole) but it does show that we haven't seen everything yet from the current content -- plenty of room for expansion and improvement...

Void egg mayonnaise has been hinted at in a new update and we know what it looks like. Sebastian also loves them so you could do that

wow, well thats new to me, i had no idea you could store items in the fridge, i got a couple chests in my kitchen filled with various cooking materials.

I am at a point, whilst waiting for the update, to try for achievements. There's one that requires shipping 15 of each item, so that's my main reason, other than the previously mentioned that's one other reason.
