Spousal jealousy

Either your relationship with your spouse decays silently when you give other bachelors/bachelorettes gifts even if they never say anything about it ... or there's got to be something else that triggers relationship hits.

I got a heart loss with Maru when she had appearance insecurity and then snapped at me; I lost a full heart and I'm not sure why. She's never expressed any problem before and I didn't do anything worse than include someone -- Leah, I think -- when I was passing out spaghetti to everyone at the Stardrop.

There really need to be exceptions to spousal jealousy, too. Does it really make sense for Maru to be jealous of you trying to befriend her brother or her other friends? And why is that cheating, when giving gifts to other single people like Linus, Clint, and Lewis ISN'T?

Never had a problem with Leah. Didn't start maxing my hearts with everyone until after marriage, too.

People have mentioned problems before where they went from 13 hearts down to 10 or 11 which we think is probably a bug. But if it's just one then yeah it's probably from jealousy. I think your partner being jealous when you give gifts isn't that bad. If you've had a sibling you should know that there can be jealously there too. They don't always get jealous from every gift - in fact I got my hearts from 2-10 with all of the other marraige candidates AFTER I got married and Abi's hearts only went down like 3 times I believe. And all of those times I don't think she said anything to me about it.

And I think it's an age thing. As much as I love Linus, your character is probably supposed to be in their mid twenties or so. Linus and Lewis are MUCH older than that (lewis for sure is probably as old as your grandfather and linus looks like he's atleast 45). As for Clint....After seeing his "moves" trying to woo Emily I can safely assume that no one would be very jealous/ worried after you giving him a gift.

Apparently at least part of the problem was that I had too much furniture blocking Maru's way ... you know, right in traffic patterns where people would be expected to walk, like a potted plant in the upper left corner of the upper room >_<

Exactly what is up with the internal movement? She keeps getting stuck in places that it makes no sense for her to walk (straight into walls, into corners). I'm starting to wonder if I should just pack away all the furniture. :(
