Mom/Dad!

Hey everyone,

I'm probably not the only one that was very curious about this. But what happened to mom/dad after year one? I stopped receiving letters from mom(since I'm playing a male farmer), she only sent me a letter after I got married, but so far I have heard nothing from mom.

So what happened? Why did mom stop sending me letters? I am thinking that this might be featured in the future updates, but I have yet to see anything concrete. It would give a lot of players a good feeling if we are able to have mom/dad visit us every once in a while, or at least something to further that storyline.

That would be tragic indeed. I'd love to send mom some money at the very least.

Oh they still send out letters, but to your siblings. Yelling at them to be more successful like you.


Also, who do you think you are? Making millions of dollars and never sending any home for mommy and daddy?

I do hope that mom/dad shows up every once in a while, or at least still continue to send letters. I know I'm not the only one who wants that to be a feature in the game. Imagine having mom/dad be present during your wedding.

kinda difficult since you can change the main characters looks so much.

well, Grandpa's look is "hard coded" and doesn't change regardless of what the player looks like, so why should the player's parents be any different? For that matter, your in-game children won't share your traits either as far as I've seen; so that green skin is probably just a super-rare recessive gene lol.

Point is, I don't see any issue with having a set of generic parents added for everyone; and having them show up at key events like your wedding or possibly your birthday (which should totally be added as a feature)

My thoughts exactly. I am sure that this has been suggested, and I am hopeful that this would be added in the future.

I think the parents as well as grandpa coding should be a bit more than set base. like you should be able to checkmark the skin color of grandpa and parents, like, idk, just thought of funny situation. a black person plays this and they start and be like "Grandpa? Why you white?" I just pictured a YouTuber I watch saying that if they played this x,D. but ya anyways I'd like to see more from the parents, and I feel like you're punished for choosing to be a female x,D Dad gives you money and rocks... Mom gives you money and baked goods ;-; Where's my mommy?
