What are the odds you can obtain Void Egg, either from witch or traveling cart?

Should I have kept my void egg? Just recently a witch came and I found a void egg in my coop. I didn't really know much other than the fact that you can sell the mayo for a good price so I just made it into void mayo and sold it.

Did I screw myself?

Krobus sells them for 5k or so. You need a void mayonnaise for a late-game quest.

you can just buy one, and hatch it in the coop (after first upgrade i think?) and for the void mayo, you can fish it up right where you need it. was the first thing i caught there, and never since. don't know if it's intended or not though^^

Got it first from Krobus for 5000 g. While waiting one egg to hatch, the witch came.

On both of my accounts I got them from the witch. Actually, in my second file I got mine from the witch in my late 1st year. I don't think I've ever seen it in the traveling cart.

So I just went into the sewer to see what Krobus had (Does his stock change regularly? He is still selling a few items that he was when I first met him.) and he had a void egg in stock. I had just bought a few ducks so I didn't have enough to buy it (5000g). Will it still be in stock if I go back tomorrow, or in a few days?

So I should just make mayo with it and put it in a safe place until I get a quest or something that requires it?

You need 1 mayo. After that, you can get rid of the void chicken/eggs, if you want.

The quest is only available after you complete the Community Center or Joja bundles... But I heard you can substitute a void salmon, if you can't get the mayonnaise. Not sure...

seen the cart sell em once, and got mine from the witch in my first year. but early second yr i went in my coop I had 2, no witch flew over (that I saw) I had one from my void chicken, and another, maybe my void chicken laid 2 one night?

As of the 1.1 update Krobus sells void eggs all the time, though the traveling merchent sells them for less (and the witch is free if she ever shows up. i've never seen her)

I incubated mine, which I bought from the traveling cart. You get void eggs almost daily once the chicken is mature. Can be useful just for money, void mayo, also a few of the players love the eggs, Sebastian for sure, and I think Krobus and the wizard also.

Ok thanks guys, I did hatch mine recently when the v1.0 update came. I asked this back in may when you could only get void eggs from MLGod

I got mine from the traveling merchant in year 1 then the witch showed up while the void egg was incubating.
