Overwhelmingly awesome.

Mostly on the Stardew forums though. Around here on Steam it is a much more mixed bag.

But the game has gathered a pretty awesome community :D

Not super crazy about the Steam forums, lots of "buy me the game" and "should I buy the game" and "watch my videos" and "it's not fair that ..." (not just SV, but for pretty much all games on Steam).

The official forums are fine

My favorite is the reddit base

TONS of info, really great people, lots of sharing. It's where I spend the first hour or so after I wake up each morning.

The Undertale Fanbase is really making me mad, so I was just testing the water before I get in the pool
=)

The water is great ... so long as you are in the right end of the pool. :D

Just remember, people are people no matter where you go. Nowhere will be perfect. That is the gamble you take when you go out into "public." You get all flavors of humanity when you take the leap into society.

Someone will always disagree with you.
Someone will always toy with you.
Someone will always take something you say out of context

But the risk is worth it. I have had the pleasure of reading some awesome stuff from people, even here on Steam. Plenty of posters I respect profoundly. With multiplayer on its way, Stardew's fanbase is a great choice to embrace~

This fanbase seems very friendly, I'm glad
The fan base on steam forums is about 70% helpful, 20% troll and 10% creepy. All in all, could be a whole lot worse. I think this forum needs a Moderator and it would become more active. I find myself not posting as much just to avoid certain people/topics gone wrong.

I personally like the fanbase. On reddit, there's a subreddit called /r/StardewValley and they're pretty chill. Sometimes you'll see cool fanart, questions about the game, suggestions, all that. On here, it's not all roses and caviar - you have the occasional Filthy Frank-esque troll, the annoying, entitled noobies, the willing-to-listen, chill noobies, Pyrofish (who exists in a complete genre of his own), and miscellaneous, random people. You get all kinds of people on here. I think it has a charm of its own, but like a lot of things, don't stray into the deep end.

I did not notice any immature people (Filthy Frank-esque troll, the annoying) but they will come around once this game gets very popular and released on console. I noticed that when a game gets a console version the fanbase gets all these annoying trolls. Thats probably why the minecraft fanbase fell apart!

It's decent.
Much better than the TF2 fanbase for sure.

I used to spend my time in the TF2 forums before I got myself permabanned.
There are more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than there are helpful people.

I'm a little curious as to how you get yourself banned from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that.

I was bored and I decided to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which I thought was funny.
