Sprinklers and scarecrows shouldn't be removeable through hoes.
Imo sprinklers should be resistant to the hoe strike. It's just annoying if you plow your field and have to put all sprinklers and scarecrows back at their place.

If you're using the Iridium hoe, which gives you the ability to plow 3x6 slots, this becomes quite important.

Put a path under it, Wooden, Cobblestone, whatever.

It will also protect them from Weeds destroying them

Maybe this can be a mod idea?

Then just replace them?
Or aim?
Or place the sprinklers different?
Or don't fully charge it?
I am amazed at how unhelpful you can be at times.

So instead of learning a simple trick to avoid them being removed when using your hoe for its area effect, you did smaller more energy and time intensive methods and state everyone has to?

Yes, because I am able to control myself, I don't have to do anything else.

If you are incapable of controlling your hands, I suggest consulting a doctor.
Still being unhelpful. Instead of actually answering the question with an answer that actually fits, you give a nonsense insulting answer.

Nice to know you hadn't changed since I last dropped in.

How didn't I give an answer?
I said you gave an answer. A nonsense insulting answer, but still an answer.

What's wrong with that?
Nonsense insulting answers are worthless for actual conversations.

Why?
How are they useful?
Everfreefire May 13, 2016 @ 1:18pm
Because they add nothing and ignore the actual question asked in favor of something completely different. How are they helpful?

How aren't they?

The burden of proof is on you.

Never in the history of anything has insulting anyone ever been useful. Period. No proof needed. Telling people suicide is the answer (as you did in another thread) and calling people stupid or more infamously for you "autistic" NEEDS no explanation as to how it is useless and nonsense as Everfreefire has said.

I'm suprised that no one has brought this up yet, but if the mechanic stated in the OP is a legitimate design flaw, isn't there like a million different design flaws in this game?

I now have dozens of hours invested in Stardew Valley, and I have committed each of the following *facepalms* at least once (and this is not even close to an exhaustive list):

- Accidentally gifted someone bait because I decided to talk to them while refilling my crab pots.
- Accidentally placed a mineral that I just took out of one crytallarium into the one next to it.
- Accidentally destroyed a crop while I was trying to do something else.
- Accidentally destroyed part of my fence while chopping down trees.
- Try to break a rock with my hoe and axe.
- Cast my fishing pole at a slime.
- The same stuff as above, but against a tree.
- Somehow accidentally breaking off the gate to access my barn rather than opening it and letting all of my barn animals escape into the wilderness for the day.
- Repeatedly 'milk' thin air while trying to milk my cows and goats.

Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I could be the only person that's experienced all of these things, but I'm about 99.99999% sure that I am not. With that said, there's nothing "wrong" with the game. This is just a mechanic that's inherent to the genre. Short of a window popping up and asking "are you sure you want to perform that action?" any time you click on anything or until computer AI reach the point that they can read your mind, this is not going to be resolved.
